To encourage social distancing we have widen aisles and provided additional public space. We are also using the Exhibition Hall as the main entrance. This entrance allows for social distancing. We will not have activities that encourage gatherings at the show this year.
The Government of Alberta has announced that the province is taking steps to return to normal and that public health restrictions will be lifted in 3 stages starting February 9, 2022. They include:
Stage 1 - Removing public health measures effective February 8 at 11:59 pm.
Restricted Exemption Program removed
Restrictions on food and beverage at entertainment venues removed
Capacity limits removed, except large capacity venues
on Feb 13 at 11:59 pm
Remove mandatory masking for children 12 years and under
Remove mandatory masking for children and youth in schools of any age
Stage 2 - expected on 11:59 pm on February 28, 2022
Indoor masking no longer required
Remaining school requirements removed
Youth screening no longer required for entertainment/sports
No capacity limits on all large venues and entertainment venues
Limits on indoor and outdoor gathering lifted
Mandatory work from home lifted
Stage 3 - To be determined based on hospitalization rates continuing to trend downwards
COVID-specific measures in continuing care will be removed.
Mandatory isolation becomes a recommendation only
